Laura Johnston is the content director at cleveland.com and the Plain Dealer. Since joining the newsroom in 2007, she has covered Cuyahoga County government, edited community and government news and built the sister site, RocktheLake.com, with thousands of Facebook followers. Laura grew up in Northeast Ohio, earned her bachelor’s degree at Miami University and her master’s degree in journalism at Columbia University. She has also written for the Associated Press, Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette and New Jersey Star-Ledger. She is managing working from home, beside her husband, two kids and a pandemic puppy.
