John Caniglia works with the crime and courts team, overseeing cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer’s coverage of police and courts. Caniglia joined The Plain Dealer in 1998 after working at smaller newspapers in Ohio. Over the years, he has worked on investigative projects and longer-term enterprise stories, which have focused on nursing homes, prisons and drugs. He has covered state and federal courts for years. He and his wife have two children.
