Chris Banten is a retail sales manager with Advance Ohio. Having worked with local newspaper groups as a sales leader for over 7 years, he has excelled in the digital marketing space to provide support and insights to his clients and salespeople. Holding leadership roles for the past 4 years, Chris has managed many teams to grow revenue and provide effective solutions to clients and develop his salespeople through coaching and a team focused attitude.
After attending the Fox School of Business at Temple University in Connecticut, Chris joined the advertising sales team at Hearst Media in Connecticut. After 3 successful years as an Account executive, he was promoted to a Digital Sales Manager role. After getting married to native Ohioan, Chris and his wife Gillian both agreed that Ohio would be where they wanted to start their family.
In March of 2018, Chris began at Advance Ohio as the Digital Strategy Manager where he assisted in driving digital revenue, training, and management of two sales teams. After 8 months in this role, he was promoted to be Sales Manager of a local retail sales team.
